We are seeking an experienced and commercially-minded Buy-Side Research Analyst to bridge high-quality investment research with client-centric sales and portfolio strategies. This role is ideal for professionals with deep equity research expertise who can create compelling investment narratives and collaborate closely with fund managers, sales, and marketing teams to enhance investor engagement and support asset growth.

Requirements

• Conduct detailed bottom-up fundamental analysis of companies, sectors, and themes aligned with PMS/AIF mandates.
• Monitor key developments including financials, valuations, macroeconomic shifts, and regulatory changes impacting portfolios.
• Build and maintain robust financial models, sector outlooks, and valuation comparisons.

• Generate differentiated investment ideas backed by thorough analysis and clear narratives.
• Collaborate with Fund Managers to align research ideas with model portfolios.
• Document rationale for stock inclusions/exclusions across mandates.

• Transform in-depth research into clear, impactful client-facing presentations.
• Create sector insights, fact sheets, and thematic decks for high-net-worth and institutional clients.
• Partner with sales and marketing teams to articulate portfolio positioning effectively.

• Track real-time market developments, earnings reports, and corporate actions.
• Deliver timely tactical commentary to support active portfolio strategies.
• Contribute to attribution analysis including top contributors/detractors.

• Participate in internal discussions, roadshows, and investor meetings.
• Support client presentations and address queries related to holdings and market views.
• Maintain audit trails and documentation for compliance and governance.

• Ensure research output complies with SEBI PMS/AIF regulations and internal quality standards.
• Maintain consistency in documentation, research assumptions, and recommendations.
• Participate in review processes to ensure credibility and compliance readiness.

• Expertise in financial modeling, DCF, ratio and relative valuation
• Sectoral research experience across BFSI, Chemicals, Pharma, IT, etc.
• Familiarity with PMS/AIF structures and portfolio construction techniques
• Tools: Bloomberg, Reuters, Excel, Power BI/Tableau

• Ability to translate research into investor-ready pitches
• Deep understanding of investor behavior and market flows

The role requires consistent generation of high-quality investment ideas, with a target of at least four investment-grade stock recommendations per month. Analysts are expected to convert their research into client-ready content, publishing at least one thematic or sector note monthly to support investor engagement. Regular participation in fund meetings is essential, contributing to portfolio reviews and preparing rationale for stock selection or exclusion. The analyst will also be responsible for monitoring market developments and delivering weekly tactical updates on key news and events affecting the portfolio. Active involvement in client and sales presentations is expected, with a minimum of two meetings per quarter to support investor communication. Finally, maintaining 100% adherence to research documentation standards and ensuring compliance with SEBI PMS/AIF regulations is critical, including consistent documentation of all research inputs for audit readiness.
