One of our companies is currently looking for a Senior Cloud Network Engineer II in the United States .

This is a unique opportunity to be the first dedicated Cloud Network Engineer on a growing infrastructure team. In this role, you'll lead the design, implementation, and management of resilient, scalable, and secure cloud networking architectures across AWS and Azure. You will help expand support for single- and multi-tenant deployments, introduce innovations like cell-based architecture, and collaborate across engineering, security, and product teams to support a rapidly scaling cloud platform. This role combines hands-on network engineering with a strong emphasis on automation and collaboration in a fully remote, asynchronous work environment.

Accountabilities:

• Design and implement robust cloud network architectures, ensuring scalability, availability, and security
• Operate and monitor existing network infrastructure, promptly resolving performance or reliability issues
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to assess new networking needs and offer subject matter expertise
• Configure and manage VPCs, VPNs, load balancers, DNS, and security services in AWS and Azure
• Automate operational tasks and optimize systems for performance and efficiency
• Expand secure client connectivity solutions, including PrivateLink and other flexible access models
• Maintain thorough documentation including network diagrams, processes, and runbooks

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience in cloud network engineering, including large-scale system design
• Deep knowledge of core networking protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, TLS), VPNs, IPv4/IPv6
• Hands-on experience with tools and technologies like nginx, Istio, Envoy, Route 53, Calico, and cloud-native load balancers
• Proficiency in scripting or programming (e.g., Python, Go, Bash) and infrastructure as code (Terraform)
• Comfortable working remotely and asynchronously, across diverse and distributed teams
• Strong collaboration and communication skills, especially in cross-functional environments

Bonus points for:

• Experience across multiple cloud providers (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Kubernetes networking knowledge
• Defining SLAs and implementing network performance monitoring
• Bootcamp completion or advanced certifications in networking or cloud architecture

• $171,000$207,000 (in select U.S. metro areas)
