We are seeking a Physician Assistant (PA) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care in a state-operated hospital setting. Under the supervision of a collaborating physician, the PA will diagnose and treat a range of acute and chronic conditions, assist in surgical procedures, contribute to interdisciplinary teams, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and physical exams
• Diagnose illnesses and develop individualized treatment plans
• Prescribe medications and therapies in accordance with guidelines
• Assist in surgical procedures and perform minor interventions
• Interpret diagnostic test results and modify care plans accordingly
• Respond to emergency situations and escalate critical cases
• Maintain HIPAA-compliant medical records and clinical documentation
• Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and allied healthcare staff
• Support research and quality improvement initiatives
• Provide clinical supervision to nursing and direct care staff

Requirements

• Education: Master's Degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program (Required)
• Licensure & Certification:
• Active Indiana PA License (Required)
• NCCPA Certification (PA-C) (Required)
• Experience: Hospital or surgical experience preferred
• Technical Proficiency:
• Diagnosing and managing acute/chronic conditions
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests (labs, imaging)
• Surgical assistance and emergency protocols
• Soft Skills:
• Strong interpersonal and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
• Clear communication and effective patient education
