Founded by serial technology entrepreneur, investor, and philanthropist Sunil Wadhwani, W Health invests in and incubates early-stage companies that address critical unmet healthcare needs leveraging technology and AI in the US and India.
Role Overview:
We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Research and Longevity Innovation Intern to assist our team in exploring groundbreaking advancements in longevity research. This internship will provide hands-on experience in the fields of cellular biology, genomics, and regenerative medicine. The intern will contribute to research ideation, experimental validation, and collaborative efforts with cross-functional teams to advance longevity-focused technologies. The ideal candidate will have a passion for scientific discovery and the desire to learn and contribute to innovative research in the longevity field.
Responsibilities:
1. Research and Ideation

• Conduct literature reviews on emerging advancements in longevity research, including cellular biology, genomics, and regenerative medicine
• Identify gaps and opportunities in the field to propose innovative areas of exploration
• Engage with scientists, clinicians, and other stakeholders in the longevity ecosystem to gain insights and refine hypotheses
• Develop preliminary research proposals and frameworks to address key challenges in the longevity domain

2. Experimental Validation

• Design and execute experiments to test hypotheses in collaboration with clinical and product development teams
• Collect, analyze, and interpret data to evaluate the feasibility and impact of proposed longevity solutions
• Support preclinical and clinical trial planning, including protocol development and regulatory compliance
• Assist in drafting scientific publications, white papers, or presentations to disseminate research findings

3. Translation and Collaboration

• Collaborate with product and business teams to align research outcomes with practical applications
• Contribute to the development of evidence-based strategies for commercialization of longevity-focused technologies
• Monitor advancements and breakthroughs in global longevity research to keep the team informed of key trends
• Document processes, methodologies, and results to create a knowledge repository for future reference

Requirements

• Relevant educational background: MBBS, Masters/ PhD in biotechnology or pharmacy
• 0-3 years experience working in medical research, biotechnology, or healthcare startups
