The Legal Counsel will negotiate and draft contracts for land acquisitions; assist Division with pending land acquisition transactions, land entitlements, due diligence, and closings; review and update legal forms and agreements; provide legal advice to various Division Associates. Coordinate and obtain all necessary local, county, state and federal permits and approvals for the Company's communities within realistic time frames and consistent with the Company policy and philosophy. Coordinate land planning and due diligence investigation. Keep abreast of legal and business developments in the field. Monitor and provide advice concerning litigation, approvals, apply for and secure bond releases, homeowner disputes and condominium transition. Prepare closing documents for third-party purchasers. Assist sales Associates with legal issues arising out of sales contracts, title matters and closings.
Law Degree and seven to ten years of experience in land use and real estate law; active New Jersey law license required.
