Legal Counsel - Commercial

Medline is seeking a Legal Counsel to perform a variety of legal services for clients across Medline's business. This role will primarily be focused on Commercial counseling.

Job Description

MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES

• Provide guidance and counseling to colleagues across the business and functional divisions on commercial matters.
• Negotiate and draft various contracts, whether for the purchase or sale of goods, services, or technology. Manage a large volume of transactions from start to finish, working closely with commercial colleagues. Work cross-functionally with various control functions to provide seamless support to the business.
• Counsel the business and functional areas within the company regarding contracts and disputes. Identify and mitigate risks, and advise company leadership on risk mitigation strategies.
• Support company leadership on various projects, activities, and initiatives.

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

Education

• Juris Doctor degree.

Certification / Licensure

• Member of a state bar in good standing.

Work Experience

• At least 4 years of post-law school experience at a law firm or in-house at a corporation.

Knowledge / Skills / Abilities

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated ability to independently identify practical legal solutions to complex challenges.
• Possess the skills to effectively manage legal projects.
• Knowledge of laws and regulations related to the healthcare industry.

The anticipated salary range for this position:

$152,880.00 - $229,320.00 Annual

The actual salary will vary based on applicant's location, education, experience, skills, and abilities. This role is bonus and/or incentive eligible. Medline will not pay less than the applicable minimum wage or salary threshold.

Our benefit package includes health insurance, life and disability, 401(k) contributions, paid time off, etc., for employees working 30 or more hours per week on average. For roles where employees work less than 30 hours per week, benefits include 401(k) contributions as well as access to the Employee Assistance Program, Employee Resource Groups and the Employee Service Corp.
