One of our companies is currently looking for a Staff Accountant in the United States .
We are looking for a detail-oriented and organized Staff Accountant to support daily accounting operations and ensure financial accuracy across key general ledger functions. In this role, you'll assist with journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of GAAP, solid Excel skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities with a high degree of accuracy. Accountabilities:
- Maintain general ledger entries for accounts payable, receivable, and other financial transactions
- Perform regular reconciliations, including cash, prepaids, and fixed assets, ensuring timely resolution of discrepancies
- Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
- Support financial audits by preparing documentation and working closely with auditors
- Help ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulations, and internal policies
Contribute to continuous process improvements and internal control enhancements
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting
- Solid understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
- 13 years of experience with general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and financial reporting
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (intermediate to advanced level)
- Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities
- Effective communication skills across all levels of the organization
- Ability to collaborate with remote teams using tools like Zoom, Slack, and email
