Senior Operating Engineer

Our client is seeking a highly experienced Senior Facilities Technician to provide comprehensive maintenance support for their manufacturing client in Pontiac, MI. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of relevant experience and possess a robust knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical systems, and building services. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Location: Pontiac, MI

What?s the Job?

Monitor the facility to ensure it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.

Troubleshoot power, HVAC systems, controls, and mechanical systems.

Perform boiler blowdown and water chemistry checks.

Participate in regular powerhouse upkeep (housekeeping, organizations of spare parts/equipment, safety initiatives, identify cost savings opportunities, etc.)

What?s Needed?

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role. .

In-depth knowledge of compressed air systems and heating hot water systems.

Understanding of high pressure boiler operation and water chemistry.

Experience with centrifugal chiller operation and cooling towers.
