Senior Facilities Technician

Our client, a global leading commercial real estate company, is seeking a highly experienced Senior Facilities Technician to provide comprehensive maintenance support for their automotive manufacturing client. The ideal candidate will have over 5 years of relevant experience and possess a robust knowledge of HVAC systems, mechanical systems, and building services. This role requires a detail-oriented individual with strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.

Position:

Senior Facilities Technician (3rd shift)

Location: Pontiac, MI

What?s the Job?

Monitor the facility to ensure it remains safe, secure, and well-maintained.

Troubleshoot power, HVAC systems, controls, and mechanical systems.

Perform general and preventative maintenance, including carpentry and plumbing.

Replace lighting system bulbs and ballasts as needed.

Move office furniture, machinery, equipment, and other materials as requested.

Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with contractors for remedial services and maintenance.

What?s Needed?

High school diploma or GED required.

Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role.

Basic knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.

Proficiency in MS Office applications and the ability to learn bespoke databases.

Required

Experience managing and supervising contractors.

Certificated assessor for building services activities is desirable.

Proven track record in delivering and monitoring EHS activities in a large, diverse organization.

Excellent knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental issues and relevant legislation.

In-depth knowledge of BMS Controls and HVAC systems.

Understanding of PRVs, pumps, bore water systems, compressors, LP boilers, and steam systems.

Ability to read system drawings and troubleshoot relays, PCBs, and closed water systems.
