Location: Pontiac

Schedule: Full time; Shift-based schedule as determined by Crisis Services Director. Three, 12.5-hour shifts each week, as determined by Crisis Director. Available shifts include 7AM - 7:30PM Please note that initial new hire training will be conducted during daytime hours at the assigned training location , consisting of five 8.5-hour shifts from Monday to Friday. Completion of this training is required before beginning non-traditional shifts.

Reports To: Crisis Services Director / Crisis Services Supervisor

Compensation: Hourly Employee; Commensurate with experience. Sign on bonuses available for qualified candidates.

Position Summary: The Youth and Family Care Connection (YFCC) Therapist role is a full-time position comprised of multiple clinical and administrative responsibilities related to the FACE to FACE Crisis Services Program. This position requires work in a residential unit and will require working closely with clinical and administrative staff and consumers of all populations, specifically with children, to ensure efficient service delivery.

Essential Duties / Functions:

  • Provide FACE to FACE Intensive Crisis Services to children as the primary population in addition to other populations, as scheduled, in accordance with professional standards and the policies/procedures of the facility.
  • Triage incoming crisis calls and provide therapeutic services in a residential unit as required to effectively and efficiently manage consumers in crisis.
  • Provide assessments, intakes, individual, family and/or group therapy as needed in accordance with professional standards and policies/procedures of the facility.
  • Experience and the ability to resolve all crisis situations appropriately.
  • Communicate daily with FACE to FACE Crisis Services clinical and administrative staff regarding clinical and administrative issues/activities.
  • Complete Pre-Admission Reviews and Utilization Review assignments.
  • Complete documentation as required by the clinic's policies/procedures.
  • Attend meetings as required.
  • Actively participate as a positive member of the clinic environment.
  • Fulfill all initial and ongoing training requirements.
  • Carry out other duties as assigned.

Working Conditions:

  • Employees are expected to maintain a professional appearance in alignment with the Employee Handbook and be prepared for active engagement with clients.
  • Employees are to work in an acute, locked-down crisis unit within a high-intensity crisis center environment with exposure to behavioral and medical events that could pose physical hazards.
  • Employees are expected to actively engage with clients, including using approved CPI techniques or intervening in elopement situations when necessary
  • May require prolonged periods of standing, moving and bending. Reasonable accommodations can be provided to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions as needed.
  • Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds as needed.
  • The position involves prolonged active listening and verbal communication.
  • Proficiency in using computers, phones, and office equipment for documentation and telehealth purposes is necessary. This includes but is not limited to Office 365 and Electronic Medical Record systems.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or psychology.
  • Active current clinical licensure (LLC, LLMSW, LLP acceptable; full licensure preferred; TLLP not eligible) in the State of Michigan and continued satisfactory standings with the appropriate board and insurance entities.
