Project Kuiper is Amazon's low Earth orbit satellite broadband network. The Kuiper Electronic Supply Chain team is seeking a Senior Manager to lead our Semiconductor Sourcing team. The successful candidate will solve for the long-term needs of the supply base while remaining deeply engaged in the management of daily product delivery.
Key job responsibilities
Develop and manage a team of Supply Chain professionals, supporting global operations
Manage the business relationships with stakeholders and customers spanning resolution of operational issues to escalation of commercial and contractual negotiations
Develop a commodity technology roadmap aligning business requirements with supplier capabilities; build a supplier base that can scale with Kuiper
Provide Subject Matter Expertise (SME) on the negotiation of a variety of agreements and contracts including term sheets, MOUs, NDAs, SOWs, development agreements, component purchase agreements and others
Influence suppliers' manufacturing processes, technology decisions, and policies in ways that are mutually beneficial and sustainable for both organizations
Ensure a competitive sourcing environment leading to continuous improvement in quality, cost, service and technology
Deliver hardware from requirements to delivery in full on time
Interface with senior leaders to ensure alignment on current and future sourcing requirements
Champion quarterly and annual executive business reviews covering strategic sourcing plan that define product roadmaps, supplier capabilities and annual / quarterly strategic business objectives
Create new and manage existing supplier partnerships to drive improvements to supplier performance, capabilities, cost effectiveness, reliability and compliance.
Apply personal knowledge to industry trends and evolving technology to proactively identify projects/opportunities to reduce cost, minimize risk, protect continuity of supply, and exploit industry developments that benefit Amazon's customers
Travel to supplier's manufacturing sites
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in Math, Engineering, Science, Supply Chain, or Business or related working experience
Demonstrated experience in strategic sourcing or supply chain management
Demonstrated experience developing and executing sourcing strategies, including supplier negotiation, purchasing agreements or development agreements
Demonstrated experience developing and negotiating business deals associated with high-specification manufacturing or technology
Preferred Qualifications
Exceptional interpersonal and communication (both written and verbal) skills
High attention to detail and proven ability to manage multiple, competing priorities simultaneously
Proven ability to influence others
Excellent creative thinking skills with emphasis on developing innovative solutions to solve complex problems that may not have one clear answer
Ability to think both strategically and execute tactically

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $132,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $218,500/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
