Job Description


The Product Manager will enhance the business relationship between Nextern and their customers. They will coordinate and collaborate with respective customers and Nextern personnel to develop and implement business solutions. This will require translating the customer needs to all internal departments with effective communication and responsiveness regarding the status of all: product forecasting, purchase/ sales orders, project updates/ changes, inventory readiness, customer inquiries, and issues.

ESSENTIAL ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Lead cross-functional team activities in identifying, understanding, and resolving business, distribution, and operational issues; responds to customer inquiries and takes actions essential to maintaining favorable customer relations.

Develop and execute business solutions with customers, including: forecasting, production planning, cost reduction strategies, change implementation, and issue resolution.

Schedules and presents Business Reviews (business relationship, capability overview, KPI review, program updates, etc.) with key customer department leaders, which may include: Purchasing, Engineering, Quality, Operations, etc.

Stays informed of customer business, including: industry and market changes, competitive landscape, changes in product offerings, acquisitions or spin-offs, etc. which may impact Nextern's relationship and/ or products with their customer.

Collaborates and provides direction to Nextern Business Leaders for all customer related matters to ensure highest service levels, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

EDUCATION AND/ OR EXPERIENCE

Bachelor's degree.

Minimum of 10 years experience with progressive responsibilities in medical device (technical business, account management or operational focus).

QUALIFICATIONS

Excellent business acumen and attention to detail.

Self directed, independent, highly organized and can work with minimal direct supervision.

Strategic thinking and quickly analyzes situational impacts and outcomes to achieve customer and organizational goals.

Successful background in developing customer and core account strategies with senior level counterparts.

Strong understanding of the medical device industry and/ or contract manufacturing industry

Exhibits leadership, inspires confidence in others, and motivates them to perform well.

Ability to analyze, understand, and effectively communicate (verbally and writing) technical material.

Persuasive presenter with demonstrated talent in establishing relationships over the phone and in person.

Demonstrated negotiation and problem-solving skills.

Highly respectful and high ethical standards.

OTHER REQUIRED SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:

Ability to travel up to 40% of the time.

Proficient with Microsoft Office suite: Outlook, Word, Excel, and Powerpoint (and ERP software module navigation).
