About the Role:
Carrier is looking for a Product Architect within our global Refrigeration businesses to own the Container, Genset and APU product line architectures and technical approach to execute the product roadmap.
This leader will drive product solutions that enable a strategic, customer centric product portfolio that is optimized across regions.
These product strategies will include increasing focus on integrated digital solutions that support sustainability goals of the business.
The candidate will partner closely with program management, Engineering Global equipment leaders to execute on product developments that will position Carrier to be the global leader in intelligent climate and energy solutions in the refrigeration segment.
The ideal candidate would have successfully developed innovation strategy, matured technology concepts all the way to product solutions while having close cross-functional engagement throughout.
Key Responsibilities
Create and drive technical approach to deliver the BU product roadmap
Lead project concept creation and selection with Sub-System Engineers and Project Engineering Leads
Define architecture system requirements based on market/customer needs
Work with engineering team to develop and cascade technology roadmap needs
Be the Project Engineering Champion
Drive and own product safety and risk management in collaboration with engineering leads and product safety officers
Support Global Equipment development and Intelligent Solutions team.
Own understanding and communication of competitive landscape
Create and drive differentiation via identification, development and deployment of strategic technologies
Drive technology synergies across the organization
Provide technical support for customer critical issues
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in mechanical, systems or controls engineering
10+ years of experience in new product development
10+ years of experience leading teams in a global environment
Preferred Qualifications:
Master?s Degree in relevant engineering discipline
Experience working in HVAC industry
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Experience working in a matrix organization
Preferred locations are Syracuse, NY or Singapore.
Travel:
Around 20% total

$133,319 - $232,919 Annually
