Porter

TA Travel Center is seeking a motivated and energetic Porter to join our team. The Porter will be responsible for ensuring that our facilities remain clean, organized, and welcoming for both clients and employees. This position is essential in maintaining the high standards of cleanliness and safety that our company is known for.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform daily cleaning tasks, including sweeping, mopping, and vacuuming floors in various areas of the facility.
• Maintain cleanliness of restrooms, break rooms, and public spaces to provide a comfortable environment for everyone.
• Assist with the removal of trash and recycling, ensuring proper disposal methods are followed.
• Support minor maintenance and repair tasks as needed, reporting any significant issues to the supervisor.
• Help set up and take down equipment for events or meetings, ensuring that all areas are arranged properly.
• Monitor and maintain janitorial supplies, notifying management of low inventory.
• Provide excellent customer service by being friendly and assisting guests with inquiries.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Prior experience in janitorial or custodian work is advantageous.
• Ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and moving objects up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to high cleanliness standards.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Flexibility in schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
