Paint Decaler

The Paint Decaler is a vital role within the Paint Department, responsible for applying decals and graphics to coaches in accordance with design specifications. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a steady hand for precision application, and a commitment to producing high-quality results that enhance the aesthetic appeal of New Flyer products.

• Apply decals accurately and efficiently to the exterior and interior surfaces of buses, ensuring compliance with design specifications.
• Inspect surfaces for cleanliness and readiness before decal application to guarantee optimal adhesion and appearance.
• Work collaboratively with the Paint Department and other teams to ensure timely completion of projects.
• Maintain an organized workstation and adhere to safety protocols throughout the decal application process.
• Assist in troubleshooting and resolving any issues related to decal application, ensuring quality standards are met.
• Perform touch-ups and minor repairs to decals as needed.
• All other duties as assigned by management.

Requirements

• Previous experience in decal application or related field is preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform precise tasks.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Familiarity with vinyl materials and adhesive properties is an asset.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods and work in a fast-paced environment.
