Interested in tackling cutting-edge environmental, water resources, open-government, and public finance water resources, environmental, natural resources, open-government, or public finance issues for public water districts, irrigation districts, reclamation districts, service agencies, land-use agencies, landowners, groundwater sustainability agencies, and other government agencies that provide critical water and land use related public services? entities statewide? Kronick seeks an attorney with 4 to 7 four-plus years of experience to join our dynamic team. If you want to make an impact by guiding public agencies that deliver on critical infrastructure services on which our communities depend, this is your opportunity!
What You'll Do
- Advise elected boards of local special districts public agencies that operate critical infrastructure and to deliver essential community services (water, sewer, land-use, utilities, etc.).
- Advise agricultural, industrial, commercial, and other landowners on obtaining and protecting water supplies to support existing and new land uses.
- Craft contracts, navigate regulatory programs, and litigate in state and federal court.
- Dive into good-governance water resources law, environmental law, land-use law, public finance law, environmental law, water law, land-use good-governance law, and public contracting law, including the construction of public works responding to climate change.
- Collaborate with a diverse, fast-paced, resourceful team in a highly supportive environment focused on client success and your success.
What We're Looking For
- 4-7
- 4-plus years of experience in a relevant practice areas, including working with public agencies.area.
- Comfort with direct client engagement and public meetings, or the willingness to learn.
- Strong legal analysis, writing skills, and attention to detail.
- A team player who thrives in a dynamic environment.
- Ability to attend occasional public meetings in the evening.
- Interest in solving complex legal problems with creative solutions.
- Demonstrated interest in the subject matter.
What We Offer
- A salary range of $132,000 to $190,000 (depending on years of experience), $190,000, with bonuses for top performance.
