Migration Architect

Job Purpose:

As a Migration Architect, he is responsible for designing, implementing, and managing comprehensive solutions to support cloud infrastructure, migration projects, and disaster recovery strategies. This role involves working closely with stakeholders to ensure the integration, performance, and availability of IT systems, while driving innovation and best practices in cloud and DR solutions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement cloud-based solutions across platforms like OCI and Google Cloud.
• Develop scalable, secure, and resilient cloud architectures that align with business requirements.
• Optimize cloud resources for performance, scalability, and cost-efficiency .
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.

• Lead and oversee the planning and execution of data and application migrations to cloud environments.
• Assess existing IT infrastructure and identify migration needs.
• Develop detailed migration strategies , ensuring data integrity and system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless migration with minimal disruption.

• Design and implement robust DR strategies to ensure business continuity .
• Conduct risk assessments and define recovery objectives (RTO/RPO).
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations like GDPR, HIPAA for cloud environments.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to junior architects and engineering teams.
• Mentor and coach team members, promoting knowledge sharing and professional development.

• Establish cloud governance frameworks to ensure compliance and cost control.
• Identify opportunities to optimize cloud costs and resource utilization.

• Stay updated on the latest cloud technologies, best practices , and industry trends.
• Contribute to the innovation of multi-cloud solutions within the organization.

Requirements

• Bachelor's in Computer Science, IT, or a related field (Master's preferred).
• 15+ years in IT architecture, with a focus on cloud, migration, and disaster recovery.
• Proven experience leading enterprise-scale architectures and managing large-scale projects.
• Strong analytical, leadership, and interpersonal skills to guide teams and drive innovation.

• Expertise in cloud platforms like Oracle Cloud and Google Cloud, and cloud-native services.
• In-depth knowledge of disaster recovery solutions, including backup, replication, and failover technologies.
• Proficiency in infrastructure-as-code (IaC) tools like Terraform and Ansible.
• Strong understanding of network architecture, security best practices, and compliance standards.
