Fox Rothschild has an opening in the Denver, CO office for an associate in our Labor & Employment Department. The ideal candidate will have three to five years of experience handling a broad range of employment litigation, including class/collective action or other complex employment litigation. We are not currently accepting resumes from search firms for this position. Qualifications: Juris Doctorate (JD) required. Must be licensed to practice law in the State of Colorado. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: Strong research, legal writing skills, and academic record required. Strong ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing required. Experience representing employers in discrimination and wage/hour disputes, including single-plaintiff and class/collective actions or other complex employment litigation. Exposure with employment litigation, workplace counseling, and policy development is preferred. The ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment is required. Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations, including wage and hour laws, equal pay statutes, pay transparency requirements, employment contracts, and harassment/discrimination laws is preferred. Deposition, arbitration, and trial experience a plus. Work Environment & Physical Demands This job operates in a clerical, office setting. This role routinely uses standard office equipment including, but not limited to computers, telephones, printers, and copiers. Physical Requirements Sedentary work: Exertion of physical strength to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects up to 10 pounds. Work involves sitting most of the time. Walking and standing is often necessary in carrying out job duties. Visual Acuity Worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading. Compensation & Benefits The salary range for this position applies to Colorado. The salary range reflects a variety of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for a position. A reasonable estimate of the current range for this position is $210,000 - $225,000; bonus eligibility with qualifiers.
