Job Description

Direct Counsel has partnered with experienced California employment law firm known for their impressive track record in recovering damages and defending employee rights throughout the state. With a commitment to achieving exceptional outcomes for their clients, this team consistently delivers results that make a real difference. This position will be involved in all aspects of employment litigation and advice and counsel matters.

Requirements

Duties and Responsibilities

Represent employers in court, arbitration, before administrative agencies and at mediations on class/collective actions, discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wage and hour matters
Familiarity with FEHA cases
Draft and respond to pleadings and discovery
Draft and argue motions
Ability to take and defend depositions
Provide employment counseling on federal and state employment laws, when needed

Knowledge, Skills, and Educational Requirements

JD from Accredited Law School
Must be admitted and a member in good standing of the California Bar
Should possess at least 2+ years of employment litigation experience
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Proven experience in employment law, with a track record of successful case outcomes.
Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
Passion for advocating for employees' rights.
Candidates should have relevant employment law experience; however, we will consider first-year attorneys with a base salary of $90,000.
