Job Description

Direct Counsel has partnered with a national law firm who is seeking an experience Defense Litigation Staff Attorney. The firm is well known for their business transaction and litigation practices.

The motivated Staff Attorney will work in the Denver, CO location bringing a minimum of 5 years of litigation experience in the defense of first-party commercial and residential property claims, insurance coverage, and insurance class actions. You will work well as part of a team on related cases, including supervision by experienced partners, but must be capable of taking a lead role in independently handling court appearances, taking and defending depositions, retaining and working with experts, attending mediations, and related tasks. You will have the opportunity to utilize junior associates for some case work, such as legal research, where appropriate.

Qualifications:

First party insurance and bad faith experience
capable of managing multiple cases at once
strong writing and oral advocacy skills
demonstrate a commitment to delivering excellent legal work for clients
someone who can run with a case with minimal oversight
1800 minimum billable hour requirement
Admitted to CO Bar
