Cybersecurity And Data Privacy Mid-Level Associate

Skadden?s Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Practice is seeking an outstanding mid-level associate to join its Global Cybersecurity and Data Privacy Practice. Candidates should have three to six years of relevant experience, which includes handling data privacy and cybersecurity matters. Experience with artificial intelligence matters is also appreciated. The ideal candidates will have experience assisting clients with: (i) enabling cybersecurity preparedness and data breach response; (ii) conducting regulatory investigations relating to data privacy and cybersecurity issues; (iii) building legally compliant data privacy and cybersecurity programs in the US (including for NIST, CCPA, CPA, BIPA, HIPAA, WMHMDA, and other US state and federal privacy laws), (iv) conducting data privacy and cybersecurity due diligence and M&A support; and/or (v) drafting privacy policies and negotiating data processing agreements. High level of academic achievement and solid law firm experience preferred. A strong interest in the field of data privacy and cybersecurity is desired. Work experience in the federal government or law enforcement on cybersecurity or data privacy issues, including non-legal experience, is welcome and encouraged. The starting base salary for this Washington, D.C. position is expected to be between, $260,000 to $390,000 annually. Actual salary will be determined based on skills, experience (to the extent relevant) and other job-related factors, consistent with applicable law.
