Corporate Counsel

Job Summary
Liquidity Services, Inc. (Nasdaq: LQDT), a leading global e-commerce company powering the circular economy, is seeking an attorney with commercial litigation experience to serve as Corporate Counsel reporting to the Company?s Sr. Director, Associate General Counsel. In this role, you'll work cross-functionally and play an active role in supporting the business across a broad array of legal matters. This collaborative role offers significant growth opportunities as you'll work closely with business leaders and refine your core legal skills, enhance your business and legal judgment and actively contribute to our shared growth and success. This role is ideal growth opportunity for a litigator seeking to become an in-house generalist. This position is remote position provided the person is working from a location in the continental United States.

Responsibilities

• Manage litigation matters, respond to customer demands, and oversee outside counsel
• Conduct legal research and stay updated on legislation and case laws relevant to the business
• Develop and implement internal policies and procedures to manage the company?s risk profile
• Manage the day-to-day commercial contracting needs of business leaders across the organization
• Update and manage standard contract forms and templates in accordance with legal requirements, industry standards and company policy
• Provide support with respect to the Company?s compliance initiatives and other cross-functional efforts
• Be an active and engaged member of the Liquidity Services legal team and support legal team priorities and projects as needed.

Qualifications

Education/ Experience:

• J.D. from an accredited law school.
• Active bar membership in at least one U.S. jurisdiction (must include the state in which the attorney will claim residency and from which the attorney will remotely work)
• 3 years of commercial litigation experience, preferably in a law firm setting. Prior in-house legal experience is not required.

Work Conditions/ Physical Demands:

• Liquidity Services is a remote-first work environment. As a result, this position is intended to be fully remote. Occasional business travel may be required.

Travel:

• 10 ? 15%

Pay & Benefits:

Compensation is determined by various factors such as location, education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as internal and external equity and organizational needs. Additionally, this role is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus.

The salary range for this position is $154,800 to $193,500 annually. The posted starting pay reflects our national average range for the job. We may ultimately pay more or less than the published starting pay based on the factors mentioned above. This range may be modified in the future.
