This position is for candidates seeking to practice in a full range of traditional family law matters, including cases involving dissolution of marriage, parentage/paternity, allocation of parental responsibility, child support, division of property, spousal support, orders of protection, adoption, minor and adult guardianships, and related issues. Scope of Work The potential scope of work may include, among other tasks, (1) drafting legal documents such as correspondence, pleadings/motions, notices, subpoenas, proposed court orders, etc.; (2) reviewing large amounts of documents; (3) issuing and responding to discovery; (4) interviewing witnesses, researching legal issues, and preparing for court hearings; (5) conducting contested hearings and trials; (6) advising clients on the their legal rights and obligations, and suggesting the best course of action in their particular situation; (7) and collaborating with other attorneys, paralegals, and legal support staff to ensure a cohesive approach to case management.
