Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all aspects of the payroll process, including approving transactions and reviewing exemptions
- Make necessary changes to individual payrolls as directed by management, such as tax deductions or salary adjustments
- Maintain payroll systems and report any issues to upper management
- Supervise payroll personnel and ensure compliance with best financial practices
- Audit payroll transactions to ensure accuracy and compliance with tax laws
- Create monthly and annual payroll reports for management review
- Ensure all payroll systems comply with federal tax laws
- Address any payroll-related questions or concerns from employees
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in finance, human resource management, or a similar field
- At least three years of experience as a payroll director or manager
- Strong knowledge of payroll software, such as Paycor, Zenefits, and UZIO
- Familiarity with labor laws and federal tax regulations
- Ability to handle sensitive employee information ethically
- Excellent data entry and management skills
- Strong organizational and time management abilities
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to work well with others
