Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Buyer to join our team. As a Buyer, you will be in charge of selecting and purchasing quality products for our business. Your duties will include processing purchase orders, negotiating with suppliers, tracking orders, managing inventory, ensuring product quality, and working with inventory teams and management. You will also work with other departments to forecast business needs and make purchase decisions based on demand.

The ideal candidate for this role should be analytical and have excellent negotiation skills to get the best prices within our budget. Knowledge of sales and marketing principles is also beneficial.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Research, select, and purchase quality products and materials
  • Build relationships with suppliers and negotiate for the best pricing
  • Process purchase orders and keep management updated on their status
  • Maintain inventory levels and ensure stock is at appropriate levels
  • Arrange transportation and track orders to ensure timely delivery
  • Analyze market trends and use this information to make informed buying decisions
  • Collaborate with inventory teams, management, and stockroom as needed
  • Inspect incoming stock and report any issues to suppliers and management
  • Occasionally travel for work

Requirements and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
  • Previous experience in a similar role is preferred
  • Proficient in computer programs such as Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint
  • Familiar with appropriate software for purchasing and inventory management
  • Strong critical thinking and negotiation skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
