We are looking for a skilled media buyer to find and buy advertising space for our clients. As a media buyer, you will need to study market data, decide on the best advertising options, and negotiate to get the desired advertising space and time for our clients.
To be successful in this role, you should have a good understanding of marketing and be able to analyze data. A great media buyer should also be persuasive and able to secure the best advertising options for our clients.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Researching the market and analyzing information about the target audience, such as their demographics, media usage, and buying habits.
- Working with marketing teams to create effective advertising strategies and campaigns.
- Presenting advertising proposals and audience data to clients for their input and feedback.
- Proofreading ads before they are launched.
- Coordinating and overseeing the development and launch of campaigns.
- Negotiating with advertising sales agents to get the best deals.
- Managing budgets and keeping track of campaign costs and results.
- Analyzing data about the campaign's performance, such as views, click-through rates, and conversions.
- Building and maintaining relationships with advertising agents and broadcasting networks.
- Staying up-to-date on media and audience trends, practices, and new technologies.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in advertising, marketing, communications, or a related field.
- At least three years of experience as a media buyer or in a similar role.
- Familiarity with media analytics tools like Videoma, Cision, Nielsen, and Google Analytics.
- Strong computer skills, including knowledge of MS Office, Google Suite, and Facebook Business Manager.
- Experience working with various advertising mediums, such as print, radio, TV, film, and social media.
- Excellent financial skills and the ability to manage large budgets.
