Direct Counsel is seeking a Mid-Level Transactional Tax Associate to join a highly regarded Corporate practice group. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney with a strong background in transactional tax to work on M&A transactions within the middle-market private equity space. The position is open to multiple office locations, offering a collaborative and supportive environment for career growth.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide counsel on tax aspects of middle-market M&A transactions and private equity
• Draft and review transactional tax documents
• Conduct tax analysis and collaborate with cross-functional teams
• Provide strategic guidance on tax structuring and compliance matters

Qualifications

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admission to practice in the jurisdiction where applying
• Minimum 5 years of transactional tax experience
• Prior experience in an AmLaw 100 firm preferred
• Strong analytical, organizational, and written communication skills
• Ability to work both collaboratively and independently
• Excellent business judgment and client-service orientation

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range : $310,000 - $420,000 per year (dependent on experience and location)
