Training and Development Intern

A leading insurance company is seeking a Training and Development Intern to join the Claims Training and Development team in Austin, TX , for a year-long internship beginning Spring Semester 2025. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a project aimed at capturing and preserving organizational knowledge while gaining valuable experience in training and development within a business setting.

Responsibilities

• Interview experienced claims professionals to capture organizational knowledge and best practices.
• Learn and implement the content governance strategy for policies and procedures.
• Shadow the Training and Development team on process creation, implementation, management, analysis, and measurement.
• Provide administrative support during the preparation and implementation of the annual claims trainee program.
• Analyze current processes to identify gaps and areas for improvement in training.

Internship Details

• Duration: 42 weeks (January 20November 21, 2025)
• Location: Austin, TX (in-person with potential for limited remote work)
• Hours: 20 hours per week in Spring and Fall, 32 hours per week in Summer
• Benefits: Not included for internship positions.

Requirements

• Enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program for the entire duration of the internship.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Preferred

• Previous work experience of more than three months and/or involvement with student organizations or similar experiences.

Pay Transparency
Base Pay Range: $23.95 - $29.59 per hour. This range is determined by various factors including experience, performance, education, and skills.
