Job Description

Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and CAD designs.
Set up and operate manual and CNC machines such as lathes, milling machines, grinders, and EDM equipment.
Fabricate, fit, and assemble parts to make tools and dies.
Inspect finished tools and dies for quality and adherence to specifications using measuring instruments.
Perform routine and preventive maintenance on tools, dies, and fixtures.
Troubleshoot and repair worn or damaged tools and dies.
Collaborate with engineering and production teams to modify tools as needed.
Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used.
Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.

Requirements

High school diploma or GED required; completion of a formal apprenticeship or technical training program preferred.

Minimum 5 years of experience as a Tool and Die Maker in a manufacturing environment.

Proficient in operating manual and CNC machining equipment.

Strong understanding of metal properties, machining processes, and tooling materials.

Ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and blueprints.
