DESCRIPTION OF JOBS:
Temporary Seasonal Employee positions available for the 2026 season include Revenue Lead, Aquatic Nuisance Species (ANS) Technician, Boat Assistant, Maintenance Technician, Visitor Service Technician (VST), Environmental Educator, and Office Attendant.
REVENUE LEAD $20.00/Hour : A Visitor Service Technician (VST) position that involves overseeing fee collection operations and verification of funds generated on park, assists with training Entrance Gate Attendants, and may include working in an entrance gate or campground registration building on occasion. Acts as work leader for Entrance Gate Attendants on a daily basis. Includes daily interaction with park visitors that requires effective communication and public relations skills. This is a non-law enforcement position. Duties and requirements include:
AQUATIC NUISANCE SPECIES (ANS) TECHNICIAN $18.00/HOUR : A Visitor Service Technician (VST) position that involves thoroughly inspecting watercraft for invasive Zebra/Quagga Mussels and other invasive species. This is an important position for the protection of natural resources from invasive species that threaten wildlife, drinking water/irrigation, water infrastructure, and all water related outdoor recreation activities in the State of Colorado. Includes daily interaction with park visitors that requires effective communication and public relations skills. This is a non-law enforcement position. Duties and requirements may include:
BOAT ASSISTANT $18.00/HOUR: A Visitor Service Technician (VST) position that involves assisting Park Rangers with boat operations, water related emergencies, patrol boat maintenance and buoy maintenance. Includes daily interaction with park visitors that requires effective communication and public relations skills. This is a non-law enforcement position. Duties and requirements include:
MAINTENANCE TECHNICIAN $19.00/HOUR: Responsible for all general park maintenance and cleaning of public facilities including: restrooms, showers, vault toilets, campsites, picnic areas, trails, etc. This is a non-law enforcement position. Duties and requirements include:
ENTRANCE GATE ATTENDANT $18.00/HOUR: A Visitor Service Technician (VST) position that involves working in an entrance gate greeting visitors. Includes daily interaction with park visitors that requires effective communication and public relations skills. This is a non-law enforcement position. Duties and requirements include:
ENVIRONMENTAL EDUCATOR $20.00/HOUR: A Visitor Service Technician (VST) position that involves facilitating park interpretive and environmental education programs. Develop and present natural resources/historical related programs to park visitors. This is a non-law enforcement position. Duties and requirements include:
OFFICE ATTENDANT $19.00/HOUR: A Visitor Service Technician (VST) position that involves working in the campground registration building or the park headquarters building greeting visitors. Includes daily interaction with park visitors that requires effective communication and public relations skills. This is a non-law enforcement position. Duties and requirements include:

REQUIREMENTS:
Pursuant to the DNR-120 Fleet and Driving Standards Administrative Directive (https://docs.google.com/document/d/1W0g2QAGmusbXBJzL3HxhGitIZOEKnwhrFnx9GqVcQHA/preview?tab=t.0) , any worker who will be expected to drive a State-owned vehicle is responsible for maintaining a safe driving record and a valid driver license prior to driving any State-owned vehicle.
To be compliant with the new fleet vehicle policy, Motor Vehicle Records (MVRs) will be pulled for review for workers who:
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
This position will perform physical activities that require considerable use of your arms and legs and moving your whole body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials. Possibly Standing for 8 hours straight on overly busy days

Duration of Typical Work Week ?The number of hours worked is, on average, but not limited to, 40 hours per week. Shifts are generally 8 to 10 hours and days off are generally weekdays. Shifts will include weekends and holidays.
Consequence of Error ?Error in this position could result in minor to serious implications if the mistake that was not readily correctable (depending on the situation).
Letters and Memos ?Most written communication is handled electronically via email.
Contact With Others ?Contact with others occurs daily and should be considered one of the
critical contexts for the position.

position and is always working as part of a team.
UNIFORMS:
The park will provide uniform shirts, hats and name tags. Employee will be required
to purchase limited uniform items at their own expense.
