Technical Writer

Job Title: Technical Writer 1

Location: Onsite in Warren MI 48092

Pay rate: $25-30/hr.

Summary:

The primary role of the Technical Writer is to create technical materials, such as equipment manuals, appendices, and operating or maintenance instructions. The Technical Writer is responsible for organizing, editing, and maintaining technical records and files to ensure clarity, accuracy, and consistency.

Job Responsibilities:


Organize materials and complete writing assignments according to set standards for order, clarity, conciseness, style, and terminology.


Maintain records and files of work, including revisions.


Collaborate with clients to establish technical specifications and determine subject matter for publication.

Qualifications:


Education: Bachelor's degree in a technical field such as Computer Science, English, Journalism, or Communications.


Experience: 0-2 years of relevant experience.


Skills:

Proficiency in creating documentation for a technical audience.

o

Strong writing, editing, and communication skills.

o

Basic ability to read programming code.

o

Critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
