We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Tax Staff member with 1 to 3 years of relevant experience in preparing Form 1041 to join our team. This position focuses on the preparation of the U.S. Income Tax Return for Estates and Trusts for individual, estate, and trust clients. The ideal candidate will possess strong technical tax knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team. You will have the opportunity to collaborate with senior tax professionals to support clients' tax compliance and planning needs.

Requirements

How You'll Contribute:

  • Prepare Form 1041 and related schedules for estates, trusts, and beneficiaries.
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of federal and state tax returns for estates and trusts, including compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Assist in the preparation of fiduciary income tax returns and related tax filings.
  • Work with senior tax staff to gather necessary documentation from U.S team, including financial statements, investment records, and tax documents.
  • Prepare supporting schedules and workpapers for tax filings, ensuring proper documentation and compliance.
  • Perform tax research to support positions taken in filings and identify tax-saving opportunities for clients.
  • Communicate effectively with U.S team to gather relevant tax information and respond to inquiries.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws and regulations affecting estates and trusts.
  • Assist with other tax-related duties, including tax planning, tax projections, and compliance reviews, as needed.
  • Participate in U.S- India team meetings and assist senior staff with special projects as required.

What Skills You'll Bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • 1-3 years of experience in tax preparation, ideally with a focus on estate and trust taxation.
  • Solid understanding of Form 1041 and trust/estate tax laws.
  • Familiarity with tax preparation software (e.g., CCH axcess, etc.).
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Knowledge of federal and state tax laws and regulations affecting estates and trusts.
