Strategic Transactions & Licensing / Life Sciences (Mid- Level)

We are searching for a mid-level associate to join our Strategic Transactions & Licensing group in our San Diego office. This position will primarily focus on advising life science companies on both legal and business issues, though candidates can also expect to advise venture-backed technology start-ups and emerging companies, as well as venture capital investors in each industry with respect to due diligence for licensing and transactional intellectual property matters. The ideal candidate will have at least two years of experience drafting and negotiating agreements for life science companies and will have the ability to take on significant roles in strategic life science transactions, including maintaining client relationships. Candidates can expect to handle multiple client matters concurrently, and engage in meaningful client contact from day one. Our Strategic Transactions & Licensing group works closely with leading venture-backed startups and emerging growth life science and technology companies. The group focuses on drafting and negotiating strategic partnering and licensing agreements on behalf of clients, providing general intellectual property and business counseling, and working on transactions in all stages of our clients? businesses, from formation to financings and acquisitions. The Strategic Transactions & Licensing group in San Diego is particularly focused on advising life science companies in their transactional matters.
