Sr. Counsel, Consumer Litigation

Tesla is looking for an experienced and motivated Litigation Attorney to join the Consumer Litigation team within our dynamic Legal team. The Sr. Counsel will represent and defend Tesla in all forms of single plaintiff consumer matters related to vehicle and energy products.

• Represent and defend Tesla in all aspects of a high volume, fast paced single plaintiff consumer litigation docket
• Factual investigation, analyze legal issues, and independently develop litigation strategies
• Respond to demands, complaints, other pleadings, and represent Tesla at hearings, mediations, arbitrations, trials and other proceedings
• Identify and prepare witnesses for deposition, arbitration or trial
• Support, advise and train business partners on legal issues
• Supervise and partner with outside counsel on select matters

• J.D. from an ABA accredited law school
• California state bar attorney license
• 6+ years litigation experience, preferably independently managing a large docket. Experience in warranty, lemon law is a plus
• Exceptional written and oral communication skills
• Excellent analytical, critical, and strategic thinking skills
• Business-savvy, creative approach to problem-solving
• Desire to work independently and cross-functionally in a fast-paced environment
