If you enjoy working with team members whose defining characteristics are exceptional client service, initiative, professionalism, responsiveness, and adaptability, you may be the person we are seeking to join our Paralegal department in our Palo Alto office, as a Paralegal.

Supports attorneys and paralegals in a variety of clerical and legal support tasks, contributing to the efficient operation of the legal team. Provides assistance with document preparation, and legal forms.

Essential Functions:

• Works under the direction of attorneys and paralegals
• Accounts for file organization and data input using relativity, iManage, Compulaw and Pacer
• Assists with filings, filling out forms, research with courts, working with our Docketing department
• In the litigation practice area, usually is assigned to a specific case and works with a specific paralegal on that case
• Performs other duties as assigned or required to meet Firm goals and objectives

Education/Training/Certifications:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and/or experience may be considered in lieu of the degree when the experience has been directly related to the functions of the job
• Paralegal certificate from ABA approved paralegal, preferred

Professional Experience:

• Prior experience working in a law firm, preferred
• We are willing to train the right person

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products, required
• Research capabilities
• Able to learn new software quickly

• Strong written and verbal communication skills, able to communicate effectively and in a professional manner with all levels of the Firm and outside vendors
• Ability to work in a team environment and effectively support the demanding needs of the Firm
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines with shifting priorities
• Must be a self-starter with a high level of initiative
• Strong customer service skills, able to anticipate needs
• Strong attention to detail, organizational skills and the ability to handle multiple projects
• Maintains confidentiality and exercises discretion

The typical pay scale for this position is between $69,900 and $92,500, although the actual wage or salary could be lower or higher if the candidate?s education, experience, skills and internal pay alignment are different from those specified.
