L3Harris Maritime Power & Energy Solutions (MPES) has an opening in the software engineering organization within its Maritime Systems sector site located in Anaheim, CA.

Under general direction of the Manager Software Engineering, this position develops and applies advanced control systems methods, theories and research technologies in the investigation and solution of complex and advanced technical problems for power system architectures and power conversion equipment. The Control Systems Engineer shall work with engineer team in support for all stages of product development from design through manufacturing and system integration.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (B.S.E.E.) or equivalent from a four-year college or university; and minimum 4 years of experience in design and analysis of control systems for power conversion equipment. Master of Science or advanced degree preferred with reduced minimum 2 years of work experience.

Ability to obtain and maintain a US Secret security clearance.

3+ years experience with control systems for power system architectures and power conversion equipment

3+ years experience with control theory and MATLAB / SIMULINK modeling

Experienced in object oriented programming in MATLAB

Preferred Additional Skills:

Circuit analysis applications, PSPICE

Service-based software architectures, a plus.

Experienced in the practical implementation of control system algorithms.

Knowledge of power electronics and analog circuits, a plus.

Experience in development of military products, a plus.

Knowledge in Digital, and Microcomputer circuits, a plus.

Must be able to work as a key member of the design team with Power Design Engineers, Digital and Analog Engineers, System Engineers, Software Engineers and Mechanical Engineers.

Experienced in embedded real-time systems design.

Experienced in object and service-based software architectures, a plus.

In compliance with pay transparency requirements, the salary range for this role in Colorado State, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, Vermont and New York State is $83-$154,000 For California, Seattle, Washington D.C., Maryland Greater Washington D.C. area, the city of Denver, Washington State and New York City, the salary range for this role is $95- 167,500. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience and geographic location.
