Software Development Engineer - Luna, Luna DevX

The Amazon Luna team is leveraging the power of the cloud to enable customers to experience the rich and immersive world of gaming on all of their existing devices. As a Software Development Engineer working on the developer experience for Luna, you will get to combine your passion for gaming, AWS, and building great developer experiences.

The team you will be joining is responsible for a wide variety of services, websites, and tools that leverage the latest technologies and languages including: ECS, Fargate, Lambda, CDK, Docker, React, Kotlin, TypeScript, C++, and more. The ideal candidate will have a good mix of distributed systems in AWS, web services design, and experience building client-side tools. You should also be customer-centric and have a passion to invent and simplify for our customers.

As a Software Development Engineer, you will have help influence our overall strategy by refining these product features, drive the system architecture, and contribute to best practices that enable a quality product. To be successful, you need to be flexible and entrepreneurial, comfortable operating with ambiguity, data-driven, and able to develop prototypes quickly.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience

2+ years of non-internship design or architecture (design patterns, reliability and scaling) of new and existing systems experience

Experience programming with at least one software programming language

Preferred Qualifications

3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience

Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $129,300/year in our lowest geographic market up to $223,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
