IT Security Consultant - Contract

Summary:

TRL11 is a venture-backed startup bringing cutting-edge video technology to the new space economy. Based in Irvine, CA, we are seeking a highly skilled IT Security Consultant (Contractor) with expertise in network infrastructure and network security practices. The responsibility of this IT Security Consultant will be to identify, implement, and secure, high-performance network solutions for our applications. Join our team and play a crucial role in shaping the success of our space missions.

This is a part-time role with the potential to convert to a full-time position depending upon business needs. This person will be expected to come into the office.

Location: Irvine, CA

Responsibilities:

1. Develop, configure, optimize a secure network infrastructure to support all our applications and systems
2. Plan and deploy LAN/WAN, wireless network and VPN solutions
3. Conduct risk assessment, vulnerability testing, and mitigation strategies in compliance with industry standards (NIST,DFARS regulations)
4. Develop and maintain a System Security Plan
5. Assist in identifying essential cybersecurity tools and vendors to meet system requirements
6. Ensure seamless integrations of network system with aerospace software and hardware
7. Conducts systems analyses and research to develop integration plans for new systems and software in order to ensure compatibility IT infrastructure

Requirements

Qualifications:

1. Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or equivalent
2. Expertise in networking technologies such as VPNs,TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, MPLS, VLANS, and Tunneling
3. Experience with networking monitoring tools and systems
4. Knowledge of Software defined Networking (SD-WANs)
5. Experience passing a C3PAO audit for CMMC certification
6. Experience working in aerospace or defense industry is a plus
