Applicants should possess a comprehensive understanding of the current and emerging trends in web technology, with a critical awareness of their implications on user-centered design. You should have strong communication skills and expertise in a wide range of technologies, including React/JavaScript/NodeJS, HTML/CSS, XML/JSON, Adobe Creative Suite, WCAG AA/accessibility standards, and GenAI/LLMs. Experience with Figma and AWS is also required.

You are customer-obsessed, detail-oriented, and adept at working on highly technical teams while collaborating effectively with non-technical creative counterparts. You excel in improving team standards, writing thorough documentation, and managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with a high degree of autonomy. You can translate business requirements into exceptional customer experiences by prioritizing the customer perspective and maintaining relentlessly high standards.

Equally passionate about design and development, you possess strong front-end development skills, a creative problem-solving mindset, and a keen eye for world-class functional design. You will contribute disruptive ideas for conceptualizing, creating, and delivering branded shopping experiences for millions of customers worldwide. Your work will span across platforms such as desktop, mobile, Fire tablet, Fire TV, Alexa, Twitch, Amazon Live, and other Amazon properties.

Key job responsibilities

Own the end-to-end development process and deliverables from a design and technical perspective and deliver high quality, bug free code.

Provide design and technical leadership; work closely with business teams in development of campaign strategy, use cases, and technical requirements

Concept first-to-market innovations that utilize Amazon?s canvas alongside creative counterparts

Prototype new features and products, tackling ambiguous challenges that affect the global team.

Optimize internal processes and tooling for broader impact, strategically aligning initiatives to maximize revenue and influence

Present work to peers, product teams and Senior leadership

Provide leadership, mentor, and coaching to your immediate and extended team on the latest industry trends, tooling, and best practices in web development and design

Expand your influence by collaborating with partner teams, increasing productivity and effectiveness

Basic Qualifications

4+ years of front-end technologist, engineer, or UX prototyper experience

Have coding samples in front end programming languages

Have an available online portfolio

Experience developing visually polished, engaging, and highly fluid UX prototypes

Experience collaborating with UX, Product, and technical partners

Preferred Qualifications

Knowledge of databases and AWS database services: ElasticSearch, Redshift, DynamoDB

Experience with machine learning (ML) tools and methods

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138,800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $239,900/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
