About the role

The Senior Design Manager/Team Lead manages our global technology client's holistic approach to the design strategy, programming, and design of various amenities programs within their office facilities. The Sr. Design Manager/Team Lead is responsible for curating documentation that facilitates the streamlined execution of work streams that require systemization support via clear and visual documentation. They design, deliver and manage the creation of guidelines and resources Design Teams and/or partners require. SDM/Team Lead supports the development of templates and other supportive assets (newsletters, graphics) to ensure a cohesive approach to all presentation materials.

What you'll do

Provide formal supervision to team members. Monitor the training and development of staff. Conduct performance evaluations and mentoring. Oversee the recruiting and hiring of new employees.

Coordinate and manage the team's daily activities. Establish work schedules, assign tasks, and cross-train staff. Set and track staff and department deadlines. Mentor and coach as needed.

Act as primary contact with the key partners. Directly impact the success of a project by overseeing design standards quality, client satisfaction and team management.

Create templates, playbooks, and guidelines for design strategy initiatives.

Develop and manage comprehensive design strategy frameworks. Develop and track schedules and work plans for design strategy efforts (guidelines, playbooks, templates).

Develop innovative design strategy initiatives backed by detailed research and analysis.

Support the development of thoughtful and intentional site-agnostic design and programming strategies, identifying and implementing strategies to increase the efficiency of the Client's workplace and amenity programs.

Develop and lead comprehensive design strategy frameworks for a variety of audiences; external architecture/design firms, internal leadership/executive audiences, business partners.

Support and lead a visual strategy, based on audience and need; championing Design Team overarching strategies, approach, processes, and needs.

Implement and develop QA/QC processes within project schedule.

Conduct design reviews with team to promote innovative solutions.

Apply a broad knowledge of the business, own field (design standards, systemization, guidelines, playbooks), and how own subject area integrates with others to achieve team and departmental objectives.

Lead by example and model behaviors that are consistent with CBRE RISE (Respect, Integrity, Respect, Excellence) values. Influence others to adopt a different point of view while being guided by policies and departmental plans.

Identify and solve technical and operational problems of complexity.

Understand and recognize the broader impact across the department.

What you'll need

Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future

Bachelor's Degree (Architecture,

Interior Design, Graphic Design) preferred with 5 - 8 years of relevant

experience. In lieu of a degree, a combination of experience and education

will be considered. NCIDQ certification or Architecture registration

required.

7 years of professional

project/design work with a focus on workplace and amenity spaces

preferred.

Experience in developing and

establishing design frameworks and guidelines

Experience in the areas of

staffing, selection, training, development, coaching, mentoring,

measuring, appraising, and rewarding performance and retention is

preferred.

Proficiency in _Google_ applications

( _Workplace, Docs, Forms, Sheets, Meet_ ) is beneficial.

Ability to lead the exchange of

sensitive, complicated, and difficult information, convey performance

expectations and balance problems.

Extensive organizational skills and

an advanced inquisitive mentality.

Turner & Townsend carefully considers multiple factors to determine compensation, including a candidate?s education, training, and experience. The minimum salary for this position is $130,000 annually and the maximum salary for this position is $160,000 annually. The compensation that is offered to a successful candidate will depend on the candidate?s skills, qualifications, and experience.

Successful candidates will also be eligible for a discretionary bonus based on Turner & Townsend?s applicable benefit program. This role will provide the following benefits: 401(K), Dental insurance, Health insurance, Life insurance, and Vision insurance.
