AWS is looking for a Sr. Business Development Manager. You're someone who has worked with enterprise customers and helped them benchmark, understand, and improve the business value that cloud technology can bring to their business. Now you're looking to amplify this capability by building programs and initiatives to scale through stakeholders and to drive impact to a greater number of customers. You will be the Center of Excellence that enables and influences internal and external resources to improve their effectiveness and efficiencies. You will pilot new business value focused initiatives with customers by collaborating with cross-functional teams including Sales, Business Development, and Cloud Economics.

The ideal candidate is energized by ambiguity and uses strong business judgment to build new programs or initiatives with minimal guidance. You are customer-obsessed; you habitually work back from the customers needs and pain points in defining and prioritizing your work. You are comfortable with complex queries using SQL, analyzing and diving deep into data, and communicating clearly and concisely to senior leaders or customer executives. You measure success by outcome and continuously inspect both approach and output to incrementally raise the bar over time.

Key job responsibilities

Explore new and better ways of helping customers understand the value of the cloud through new metrics and benchmarks

Execute go-to-market motions with business development plans and collaterals for internal and external customers

Create scalable mechanisms and programs to drive standardization and adoption of best practices

Work with AWS Sales, Cloud Economics, Business Development and Marketing teams to understand customers' challenges and develop solutions to meet these challenges

Drive operational and strategic planning with leadership based on the voice of the customer

About the team

Cloud Economics Scale (CES) provides tooling, analysis, benchmarks, and insights to help customers better understand and quantify the IT and business benefits of using AWS. CES works with internal partner teams and customers to deliver cloud value advisory expertise, develop business cases, and answer the customer question: "What value can I expect to achieve by using AWS?

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree

6+ years of professional or military experience

Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level

6+ years experience in financial analysis, value engineering, or value advisory

Preferred Qualifications

Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations

6+ years of developing, negotiating and executing business agreements experience

6+ Years of SQL Experience

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $133,200/year in our lowest geographic market up to $220,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
