AWS is looking for a BIE to join the AWS Analytics Engineering (AAE) team. This is your opportunity to be part of a team that has direct impact on foundational cloud services such as Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), Amazon?s Simple Storage Service (S3), Amazon Q Developer, Serverless, Databases, Networking and many more !

As a BIE on this team, you will be responsible for execute the analytical roadmap for your supported AWS services. You will generate insights that directly drive business growth and influence feature and product enhancements. You'll get to work with datasets in one of the world's largest data warehousing environments, giving you the opportunity to develop and support your hypotheses with data-driven insights that influence product leadership.

You'll work closely with business leaders, finance, and technical teams to analyze many non-standard and unique business problems, creatively problem-solving to deliver actionable output. As part of an enhanced business intelligence team, you'll go beyond standard number reporting and drill into the drivers of key business metrics.

As you build your service's analytical capabilities, you'll be redefining best practices with a cloud-based approach to scalability and automation. This is a highly analytical, high-impact role where you can make a difference through your data-driven insights and influence.

Key job responsibilities

Develop a good understanding of the business drivers and data landscape for your assigned AWS services.

Deliver in-depth data-driven analysis papers with key insights to business leaders.

Design and implement a comprehensive reporting & analytical roadmap to derive business metrics.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify new dataset to enhance existing analytical capability.

Strong verbal and written communications to share findings with business leaders, finance, and technical teams to influence decision-making and product enhancements.

Utility Computing (UC)

AWS Utility Computing (UC) provides product innovations ? from foundational services such as Amazon?s Simple Storage Service (S3) and Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2), to consistently released new product innovations that continue to set AWS?s services and features apart in the industry. As a member of the UC organization, you'll support the development and management of Compute, Database, Storage, Internet of Things (Iot), Platform, and Productivity Apps services in AWS, including support for customers who require specialized security solutions for customers who require specialized security solutions for their cloud services.

Basic Qualifications

3+ years of analyzing and interpreting data with Redshift, Oracle, NoSQL etc. experience

Experience with data visualization using Tableau, Quicksight, or similar tools

Experience with data modeling, warehousing and building ETL pipelines

Experience in Statistical Analysis packages such as R, SAS and Matlab

Experience using SQL to pull data from a database or data warehouse and scripting experience (Python) to process data for modeling

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with AWS solutions such as EC2, DynamoDB, S3, and Redshift

Experience in data mining, ETL, etc. and using databases in a business environment with large-scale, complex datasets

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $89,600/year in our lowest geographic market up to $185,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
