Senior Backend Engineer

We're looking for an experienced Senior Backend Engineer to lead the development of scalable, high-quality software systems. In this role, you'll be responsible for end-to-end delivery of backend services while guiding teams through technical challenges, improving development workflows, and contributing to architectural decisions. You'll also play a key role in mentoring other engineers and shaping the technical vision.

Requirements

• Lead the end-to-end development of complex backend systems, ensuring quality, reliability, and best practices in a fast-paced environment.
• Build reusable frameworks and abstractions that streamline development and increase team efficiency.
• Introduce and drive adoption of new tools, technologies, and coding patterns across engineering teams.
• Own and influence key technical decisions, contributing to architecture discussions and proposing scalable solutions to complex backend challenges.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product managers and designers, to convert business needs into robust technical solutions.
• Conduct in-depth code reviews and provide actionable feedback to uphold coding standards and maintainability.
• Identify and drive opportunities for improving engineering processes and system performance.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging technologies and bring relevant innovations into the development lifecycle.
• Serve as a technical mentor for senior engineers and contribute to team growth and knowledge-sharing.
• Champion technologies and methodologies that improve team efficiency and product scalability.

• 7+ years of professional software development experience, with at least 4 years working on cloud-native, distributed backend systems.
• Strong proficiency in Golang and hands-on experience with data stores like MongoDB .
• Experience with queue-based systems such as Kafka or RabbitMQ .
• Familiarity with microservice architectures , service-to-service communication, and high-availability systems.
• Experience in setting up and maintaining monitoring, logging, and alerting systems in production environments.
• Solid understanding of service metrics , performance dashboards, and reliability KPIs.
• Strong foundation in computer science principles , including data structures, algorithms, and system design.
• Knowledge of modern infrastructure tools and concepts such as containerization, service discovery, secret management, and software-defined networking.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts through documentation and presentations.
