Senior Backend Engineer -. Netcore + Azure PAAS

Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced and passionate Senior Backend Engineer to join our agile development team. The ideal candidate will possess deep expertise in designing and building secure, scalable, and high-performance applications hosted on Azure cloud, alongside strong mentorship and leadership capabilities.

Responsibilities:

• Understand, analyze, and optimize existing application architecture and solutions.
• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, scalable backend components and frameworks.
• Collaborate closely with architects, team leads, and peers in an agile scrum environment.
• Write robust, clean, and efficient code following best practices.
• Design, deploy, and manage applications on the Azure cloud platform.
• Identify technical gaps and proactively propose effective solutions.
• Establish and uphold coding standards through regular code reviews and mentoring junior and mid-level developers.
• Stay updated on emerging technologies and leverage them effectively to solve client-specific business challenges.
• Provide regular progress updates to management and stakeholders.
• Operate efficiently within an agile design and development framework.

Requirements

• 7+ years of experience in software development using C#, ASP.NET Core, .NET (Core and Framework).
• Proficiency with testing frameworks (e.g., XUnit, Specflow) and practices (TDD, BDD, integration testing).
• Strong knowledge of SQL Server database design, efficient query writing, stored procedures, and ORMs (EF Core, Dapper)
• Proven expertise with microservices and serverless architectures (Azure Functions, API apps, Azure Service Bus, message queues).
• Extensive experience with development tools like Visual Studio, Azure DevOps, and Git.
• Deep understanding of Azure cloud services: App Services, SQL Database, Azure Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Azure Key Vault, VNETs, NSGs, Cosmos DB, and Storage.
• Strong skills in CI/CD, DevSecOps practices, and setting up and managing build and release pipelines.
• Expertise in Azure Active Directory and security protocols (OpenID Connect, OAuth 2).
