SAP HANA Database Administrator

This role will be responsible for SAP HANA database management and administration.

Key Responsibilities

Database Management & Administration:

• Installing, configuring, and maintaining SAP HANA databases.
• Monitoring database performance, identifying bottlenecks, and implementing solutions.
• Managing users, roles, and permissions within the HANA database.
• Performing database backups and restores, ensuring data integrity and availability.
• Implementing and maintaining security protocols and access controls.
• SAP HANA upgrades and patches.
• Create and/or streamline SOP's

Performance Optimization:

• Ensuring day-to-day delivery and meeting SLA's and KPI's
• Analyzing database logs and identifying areas for improvement.
• Collaborating with developers and other stakeholders to optimize database usage.

Troubleshooting & Problem Resolution:

• Diagnosing and resolving database issues and errors.
• Providing technical support to users and other teams.
• Documenting solutions and procedures for future reference.
• Clear understanding of Hana high availability clusters as well as RedHat enterprise linux clusters

High Availability & Disaster Recovery:

• Configuring and managing High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) solutions.
• Testing and validating HA and DR procedures.
• Ensuring business continuity in case of database failures.

Security:

• Implementing and maintaining security measures to protect the database from unauthorized access.
• Monitoring database activity for security breaches.
• Ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations.

Pay Range $140,000 - $180,000

Requirements

• Bachelors degree or higher in one of the following: Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology
• 5+ years of professional-related experience
• Experience with SAP HANA platform
• Knowledge of database architecture on a global scale

• Creation/maintenance of information security policies
• Excellent communication and relationship management focus

Preferred :

• Experience with security certifications including SOC 2, HITRUST
