Residential Lawn Care Technician

RESIDENTIAL LAWN CARE TECHNICIAN - $22-$26/hr + benefits

Village Green Lawn and Pest is seeking a RESIDENTIAL LAWN CARE FERTILIZATION TECHNICIAN to join our team!

Village Green is a family owned and operated company that has been serving Plano and the surrounding cities for over 40 years in the areas of fertilization & weed control, irrigation repair and landscape installation. ROLE MISSION: The mission for this role is to provide Village Green's clients a positive, personal experience while creating a healthy lawn and pest free home.

Do you need landscape experience? No. We are very good teachers. Most of our star team members had never worked in the landscape industry before coming to Village Green.

What does someone in this role actually do?

• Works Monday through Friday with some Saturdays
• Drives company provided truck
• Follows safety protocols
• Visits roughly 25 homes per day
• Evaluates health of lawn and landscape of each home
• Advises customers on methods to improve lawn and landscape condition
• Applies fertilizers plus insect and disease products to create a healthy lawn and landscape
• Applies products to prevent pests from entering client's homes
• Builds relationships with customers

Requirements

The person we are looking for is someone who...

• Has a current driver's license
• Will be 21 at time of hire
• Can work occasional Saturdays
• Has some leadership experience
• Can't stand working in an office
• Can work quickly with an attention to detail
• Enjoys getting to know our customers
• Wants to be a part of a fun, hard working, closely knit team
• Has a desire to have a long term career, not just a job
