Eversheds Sutherland (US) LLP is seeking an Associate with 4-6 years of experience to join the Real Estate practice group in the New York office. We are looking to add a team member with a strong background in Commercial Real Estate Finance including experience related to the origination, restructuring, and workout of commercial mortgage and mezzanine loans, revolving credit facilities and preferred equity transactions and the loan sales and purchases. An understanding of securitized commercial real estate loans and real estate mortgage investment conduit (REMIC) regulations would also be particularly valuable. We cultivate exceptional attorneys across all levels by providing them with the experiences and resources needed to build successful careers! The Associate will join an impressive practice that provides advice across various matters including commercial mortgage and mezzanine lending and loan workouts and restructurings, CMBS master and special servicing requests, negotiated servicing agreement transactions, and the acquisition of servicing rights in public and private securitizations, as well as revolving credit facilities and preferred equity transactions. The Associate will have extensive interaction with a variety of clients including insurance companies, commercial banks and other institutional lenders, and master servicer and special servicers, on various real estate finance and securitization matters. Four to six years of law firm experience. Skills and knowledge related to a broad range of commercial real estate finance matters including the origination of mortgage and mezzanine loans, revolving credit facilities and preferred equity transactions and the workout and disposition of distressed real estate debt and properties, and the sale or acquisition of such loans. Experience related to transactions that involve office buildings, regional shopping centers, hotels, resorts, multifamily residential complexes, mixed-use projects, healthcare-related projects, single-tenant retail sites, warehouse and industrial sites, and commercial and residential condominium and cooperative projects. The Associate position is hybrid and requires in-office presence three days per week. The salary is commensurate with the practicing skill set and years of relevant experience. The salary range for our Associate position is $225,000-$420,000.
