Psychiatric Medical Director

The Psychiatric Medical Director oversees the vision and direction of the Psychiatry Department and is responsible for the supervision of contracted psychiatrists. The position is responsible for oversight of client care and compliance with applicable community standards of care and with State and Federal laws and rules and other regulatory requirements. The Psychiatric Medical Director is expected to exercise independent professional judgment and discretion in the leadership of the Psychiatry Department and demonstrate a commitment to the services and values of the agency. The position reports to the Chief Operations Officer.

Requirements

1. Possession of a valid California Medical License or Osteopathic License or an equivalent license issued by another state and eligibility for a California medical license which must be obtained within one year of appointment.
2. Completion of a residency training program in psychiatry which is approved by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and which resulted in Board eligibility.
3. Four years full time clinical experience in a comparable mental health setting.
4. Valid California Driver's License, good driving record.

Competitive Rate: $275,000 - $425,000 per year.
