Position Title: UPM Additive ? Program-Production Planner
FMLA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Program Coordinator Leader
Direct Reports: N/A
This position is responsible for planning, scheduling and coordination of all manufacturing locations, vendors, logistics and inventory activity to support the UPM Additive Manufacturing business. In this role, the individual will be the main point of contact for all UPM Additive suppliers, manufacturing, supply chain and will coordinate the efforts to ensure that customer orders are fulfilled on time and inventory levels are maintained at optimum levels.
? Back-up resources for the Additive Program Coordinator.
? Supplier/Vendor Management Responsibilities:
o Proactively initiate set-up new suppliers in the Stratix ERP system.
o Obtain and negotiate competitive pricing with suppliers.
o Enter and track service orders in Stratix.
o Plan, coordinate, and schedule orders with suppliers to line up with customer sales order due dates.
o Effective interpretation of customer blueprints, non-conformances, Supplier Deviation Request, and Scope of Work.
o Effectively communicate at all levels the status of Open PO's, customer orders, vendor service orders and production schedules.
? Planning/Scheduling Responsibilities:
o Plan and Schedule all manufacturing and service orders through processing steps both internally and externally.
o Enter production/service orders into Stratix for all affected UPM locations and outside vendors.
o Review internal and external capacity availability and lead-times.
o Proactively identify any/all capacity restraints that will affect customer deliveries.
o Perform Production Planning activity for all work orders that our outsourced and internally manufactured/routed.
o Provide daily status of all open customer orders.
o Proactively identify gaps in production delivery.
o Responsible for planning and executing Customer Program agreements.
? Raw Material Planning:
o Identify gaps in available raw material and coordinate gap-closure with supply chain and/or raw material suppliers.
o Identify and manage raw material buy-outs and competitive pricing and optimum lead-times.
o Work closely with product management/buyers to ensure raw material supply is proactively identified and planned and purchased based on lead-times.
? Refurb plates
? Customer specific finished goods.
o Report inventory levels, gaps and excess monthly.
? Logistics:
o Manage all aspect of transportation logistics for customer and supplier/vendor freight including transport planning ang and shipping documents.
o Coordinate customer/vendor/internal packaging requirement with packaging vendors.
? Quality:
o Coordinate with QC inspection approvals prior to order shipment.
Proven ability to communicate at all levels clearly and effectively, within and outside of the organization, both verbally and written.
Proven, outstanding organizational and time management skills
Must be proficient using STRATX ERP system in:
o Sales Order Entry/Quoting
o Production planning
o Transport panning
o Inventory Management
Proficient in all areas of Microsoft Office Suite and very effective in building advanced excel spreadsheet.
Industry knowledge of Additive Manufacturing Printing, Build Plates, Processing, Atomizing, Powders, Print Machine Models, and End Use Applications preferred.
Must have proven experience modeling multi-operational sequence quotes.
Must have the ability to interpret blueprints, SOW's and dimensional charisticaries.
Ability to multi-task.
Must be a team player and motivator.
High School Diploma or GED required.
AS or BS in Business, Engineering or Material Management preferred.
APICS certification preferred
Six Sigma Greenbelt Preferred.
