Job Overview

This role involves managing administrative functions, supporting educational programs, and handling key responsibilities related to the food program and grant administration. Additionally, the Administrator will serve as a backup for overseeing on-site preschool operations and step into classrooms when needed. The ideal candidate will have strong organizational skills, a passion for early childhood education, and experience in managing food programs and grants.

Requirements

Responsibilities
  • Oversee and maintain proper staffing levels to ensure compliance with Title 5 ratios
  • Evaluate staff communication and teaching abilities to ensure they effectively support children's development.
  • Help the center maintain compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including Title 5 requirements.
  • Supervise the maintenance of financial and operational records, including special programs such as CCTR and EHS.
  • Track enrollment data, tuition fees, and payment schedules.
  • Assist in revising, refining, or establishing center policies, programs, and budgets in collaboration with leadership.
  • Train, supervise, and evaluate staff while ensuring high standards of care and education.
  • Step in as a substitute teacher when necessary to maintain smooth classroom operations.
  • Assist with audits for CCTR contracts, managing budgeting, reporting, and ensuring compliance.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to meet contract requirements and utilize funding effectively.
  • Ensure accurate and timely documentation and reporting for contract compliance.
Qualifications
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively with a diverse team.
  • Knowledge of early childhood education principles and regulatory requirements.
  • Qualify for a valid Site Supervisor Permit for Child Development issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with early childhood program administration and grant oversight.
  • Familiarity with preschool licensing requirements and health and safety standards.

Pay Range:

  • Starting at $30 per hour based on qualifications & experience
